You can. Just read them over carefully before clicking on create topic or post reply and make your changes if you need to.
I think preview is working, so you can also preview your posts before they are made perminant. It's a little bit like how you can't really take back something after it's been said. Of course you can make a later post if you'd like to clarify something.
Yes, I think preview got fixed when I redid the format for it. If it's still broken, let me know.

Can you imagine how big a mess that would be if we could modify our posts after they were posted?

However, I wish that the person who starts a topic could close it at will. Sometimes you post something like "I'm looking for a same sex partner" and regret it the minute you press the "post topic" button, or, maybe a year or two later when your girlfriend joins the zone.
